Right on the first day of Haarlem Vinyl Festival, record store VinylFreaks opens its doors. Behind VinylFreaks are friends Roy van Rijn and Marcel Bindels, who have been working together for over twenty years. Since 2023, they have been selling records at record fairs and through their webshop; now they are adding a physical store at the Slachthuisterrein.
The bins are filled with a carefully selected range of new and second-hand vinyl, as well as a great collection of maxi-singles. All second-hand records are thoroughly checked for quality. VinylFreaks also sells turntables, accessories, parts and merchandise. You can also have your records ultrasonically cleaned, so your collection sounds the way it should.
VinylFreaks is more than just a record store. Later this year, they will also open a repair shop for sound and audio equipment and small household appliances. The store has been designed using as many reused materials and handmade record bins as possible, creating a welcoming place to browse, listen, share stories, enjoy in-store performances and discover local talent.
Show your festival wristband or ticket and receive 10% off the second-hand vinyl collection from Friday 2 to Sunday 4 October between 16:00 and 19:00. There will also be changing special offers throughout the three festival days. On Friday, VinylFreaks will also be giving away tickets for Retro Rewind at De Volharding.
