Thomas Azier - PANORAMA Listening Session

After three years of relative silence, Thomas Azier returns with PANORAMA, an extensive and personal musical project. PANORAMA marks a new chapter in his artistic development. Intimate in origin, but cinematic in scale, the project unfolds through music, text, and visuals. 

During this listening session, Thomas will have a conversation with Cristel Ball about the creation of PANORAMA, his way of working, and the artists who have inspired him. The sensory experience and connecting people through music play a significant role in Thomas's artistic life. Throughout Europe, he organizes listening sessions with precisely that goal, a unique experience. Especially for the Haarlem Vinyl Festival, he brings records from his own collection as an introduction to listening to excerpts from PANORAMA.

PANORAMA was created during a period when Azier was caring for his seriously ill partner while also taking care of their young son. From that experience, he developed new work that combines pop, electronic music, strings, spoken word, opera, and projection.
