Sonic Journey: from Chicago and Detroit to the Dutch dancefloor

Sonic Journey is a lying-down (or seated) listening experience that takes you on a musical journey through time, with focused, distraction-free listening at its centre.

You settle in, lying down or seated, and let the music carry you through time — no distractions, just undivided attention on the music.

This edition traces the story of house and techno from its birth in Jamaica, through Grandmaster Flash, Donna Summer and Kraftwerk, on to Chicago and Detroit where pioneers like Frankie Knuckles and Juan Atkins shaped entire new genres, and finally across the ocean to the Dutch dancefloor. Along the way you'll meet the Dutch icons who built our club culture: Orlando Voorn, Eddy De Clercq, Joost van Bellen, Shinedoe, Paul Elstak, Steve Rachmad, Dimitri, Miss Djax, and many more.
