During the Haarlem Vinyl Festival, we join forces with the Dutch Association for the History of Radio (NVHR) for a special initiative: a Repair Café in the foyer of PHIL.

The NVHR is an association of enthusiasts and specialists in the field of historical radio and audio equipment. They are dedicated to the preservation, knowledge, and restoration of old radios, amplifiers, record players, and other audio devices.

During the festival weekend – Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 September – you can visit here for:

  • Minor repairs to your record player or other audio equipment (free of charge)
  • Advice and explanations from specialists
  • Assistance with adjusting your record player and needle
  • Parts at cost price, if needed for the repair

Also present is Pickupnaalden-shop.nl, the Dutch webshop specialized in needles, cartridges, and accessories for record players. They offer expert advice and have a wide range of parts readily available.

Simultaneously, in the same foyer, there will be a freely accessible label market, where independent labels offer their finest releases. Perfect for enjoying your records again right after a quick repair.

Whether you are a seasoned audiophile or have just bought your first turntable: everyone is welcome!
