Janne Schra

Janne Schra is a multidisciplinary artist from Amsterdam, known for her work as a singer, songwriter and painter. She first gained international recognition as the frontwoman of Room Eleven, with whom she achieved several gold and platinum records and performed at major festivals, including the Montreal Jazz Festival, as well as in cities such as Johannesburg and Tokyo.

Since launching her solo career in 2010, Schra has released several acclaimed albums and won the Edison Jazz Award in 2023 with her band DeVogels. Her work is characterized by a wide range of collaborations, with artists such as M. Ward and Benny Sings, and with orchestras including the Metropole Orkest, as well as recordings in legendary studios such as Konk Studios in London, studios in New York and Capitol Studios in Los Angeles.
