Holandaluz + Fuákata

During the Haarlem Vinylfestival, the Pletterij will be dedicated to flamenco for 2 days! Guest curator is guitarist Marnix de Croock who has put together a program for Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, he will perform with his own group Holandaluz.

Meanwhile, Holandaluz has been making his mark with his psychedelic flamenco for quite a few years. At the Haarlems Vinyl Festival, he releases his fifth LP El Clásico. A double album of which part I was presented last December at the Patronaat and part II now at the Pletterij. His instrumental music is characterized by combining the sounds and techniques of flamenco with pop/progressive rock patterns on both the flamenco guitar and 12-string guitar. His band is reinforced by double bassist Nacho Tomillo, violinist Marta Florit, percussionist Manuel Vega, and additional guitarist Enes Duran.

Fuákata

Fuákata is a band formed by five Spaniards who met at the Amsterdam Conservatory. They share their love for jazz and flamenco and create a spectacular combination of these two styles. Without flamenco guitars, they cover songs by artists such as Paco de Lucía and other flamenco greats. The band consists of trumpeter Alvaro Rey de Viñas, electric bassist Felipe Alguiera, pianist Mikel Legasa, and two percussionists Lucas Trabado & Manuel Vega.
