Come to Spekstraat 5 on Saturday, October 3 for a special day dedicated to music, vinyl, and local creativity. At HaarlemsEIGEN, the store and sanctuary for upcycled and subcultural products from Haarlem, we are pushing the interior aside for this occasion to make room for a carefully curated program.

Let yourself be carried away by the record collection and performances of these special creators and artists.

DJ Crazy Crudesjev

Haarlem-based DJ, musician, and former programmer at the Patronaat. A music lover with a penchant for sounds that are just a bit different. Sjef Huurdeman, aka DJ Crazy Crudesjev, effortlessly navigates between blues, soul, jazz, rock 'n' roll, and other musical corners.

Don't expect obligatory party music or a carefully curated hit parade from Crudesjev. He spins records because they mean something. Sometimes swinging, sometimes raw, sometimes completely unexpected. From Mingus to obscure gems: when Sjef plays it, there's a reason behind it.

A Haarlem local with a quirky taste and probably a bit more music in his head than strictly necessary.

2nd hand vinyl

Come crate digging! A collection of 2nd hand vinyl, specially curated by DJ Crazy Crudesjev and DJ Nifty (Ruby Dorsman)

Ruby Dorsman, also known as DJ Nifty, knows his way around the grooves. As a trumpeter in Uncle Sue, a vinyl DJ, and a lover of soul, funk, and everything that rubs against them, he has a nose for records with character.

So don't expect run-of-the-mill vinyl, but crates full of music with a story, a groove, or simply a good reason to take it home.

Expect soul, funk, blues, ska, Latin, Afrobeat, jazz, retro film music, and more.

Marcel Klingeler

Haarlem's master troubadour Marcel Klingeler, also known from the Heeren van Haerlem, presents an intimate performance. Around Haarlems Eigen's piano, the most personal moments arise: songs that are close to the heart, sung directly without filter or detour.

Upcycled By Niek

Niek van Veelen from Upcycled By Niek is at Haarlems Eigen on this day with a selection of his lamps. Creations where old materials get a new life.

Especially for the festival, Niek created something special: a series of lamps made from rejected colored vinyl, provided by The Record Industry, a co-initiator of the Haarlem Vinyl Festival.
