On Sunday, October 4th, Maxime's Deli and Grassroots will join Haarlem Vinyl Festival with an afternoon filled with records, live music, and fair flavor. Amidst the scent of freshly baked focaccia and local Grassroots ginger bitters, this afternoon will resonate with the warm crackle of vinyl, crunchy bread, and sparkling cocktails.
Maxime's Deli at the Luitestraat is usually the place for artisan sourdough bread. For Haarlem Vinyl Festival, the shop opens its doors for something different: the counter makes way for two special live acts, and Maxime and Grassroots Bootleg Ginger serve surprising drinks from their own kitchen.
Line up
The Mule Stompers will close the musical afternoon with their infectious mix of bluegrass, country, and acoustic swing. Banjo, harmonica, and guitar take turns in cheerful songs of bluegrass, blues and folk on which to dream away — the act from Nijmegen was rightfully named Duo of the Year by Gigstarter. Expect music that effortlessly transitions from calm background sounds to an invitation to dance a little jig.
If you arrive early, you can still enjoy the last swinging records from the vinyl collection of Radikal Rupert (from 13:00 to 16:00).
Cocktails & bites
Alongside the music, Maxime's Deli and Grassroots will serve surprising cocktails made with Bootleg Ginger mixed with homemade kombucha or lemonade. We'll bake the organic focaccia and brioche that the shop is known for, topped with fresh ingredients that complement the drinks.
