Olle Stjerne & Till Hormann

Forced to Action is a performance by Olle Stjerne, where he sings to a recorded backing track, an original song with the same name. The lyrics are beamed on the wall behind him, with a video of particular shapes. The performance is inspired by late-night karaoke as well as playing music live: there is a dramatic arc of dreading to go up on stage, actually performing and finally, when it is over, realizing it was exhilarating. At de Vishal Olle Stjerne is joined by saxophonist Till Hormann who adds a new layer of live-performance. The song is further augmented and adds a portion from an artist strongly connected to the exhibition Oblique Strategies in de Vishal.
