We listen together to the first album by Spinvis, which was released in 2002. This idiosyncratic record grew to become one of the most influential Dutch-language debuts of the past decades.

With songs like Voor ik vergeet and Bagagedrager, Spinvis introduced a new sound: poetic, dreamy, and personal. Voor ik vergeet later became a staple in the Top 2000, and the album itself was praised by critics and audiences for its unique tone. Spinvis once said about creating it: "I had no plan. Just a few songs and an old recorder. The rest happened naturally."

In between listening to the songs, we will have a conversation led by Menno Pot with Spinvis about the creation of this album. After this special listening experience, there will be a signing session in the foyer of the PHIL.
