Without windmills no U2? There is no hard evidence to support this claim, but the fact remains that Windmill Lane provides a strong foundation for the four young, ambitious Dubliners to conquer the world.
Often people think that U2 is the owner of the studio, but nothing could be further from the truth. The recording studios in Dublin have an independent owner to this day. The band simply has to rent the studio space, just like The Cranberries, Phil Lynott, Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, and many other pop stars have done and continue to do.
During the fourth Haarlem Vinyl Festival, Aidan Alcock and Naomi Moore are our guests. They are in charge of the studios on a daily basis and bring a wonderful presentation from Dublin. It is also a tribute to the amazing music culture of Ireland. For every U2 fan, it's a feast for the ears.
Hear the album in a unique setting and discover the stories behind a defining chapter in U2's early career.
