Breaking Sameness is an interactive workshop and gathering for artists and creatives to share and reflect on the creative process and internal resistance, doubt, and personal work that often accompanies creativity in the presence of like-minded individuals. A moment to slow down, openly share, listen to each other, and feel a little less alone in the pursuit of creative honesty.

This interactive workshop includes prompts, self-development exercises, and stating intentions to support your creative process and create accountability.

For this first Haarlem edition at Café Trouw during the Haarlem Vinyl Festival, local artist Jan Kuhlemeier joins Olaf Boswijk to discuss his creative process. The conversation explores working from intrinsic motivation: what drives and supports your work? Do you work from external validation or intrinsic motivation?
