Breaking Sameness is a regular gathering to connect, share and reflect on the creative process and the internal struggles, resistance and personal work that go into starting and sustaining creative projects. A moment to slow down, speak honestly, listen deeply and feel a little less alone in the search for creative honesty.

The interactive workshop includes prompts, self-development exercises and collective sharing of intentions and commitments to support your creative process and create accountability.

For this first Haarlem edition at Café Trouw during Haarlem Vinyl Festival, local artist Jan Kuhlemeier joins Olaf Boswijk to talk about his creative process. The conversation explores working from intrinsic motivation: what drives and sustains your work? Is it external validation or intrinsic motivation?
