Boudewijn de Groot

An exclusive listening session with Boudewijn de Groot, the grandmaster of the Dutch chanson, in conversation with journalist Menno Pot about his music, career, and the reissue of his iconic albums on half-speed mastered vinyl.

An exclusive listening session centered on the work of Boudewijn de Groot. The grandmaster of the Dutch chanson will be present in person, joining journalist Menno Pot for a conversation about his music, his career, and the significance of his albums throughout the decades.

The occasion for this session is the reissue of his original albums, freshly pressed on vinyl and this time half-speed mastered at Abbey Road by legendary engineer Miles Showell, a technique renowned for delivering exceptional sound quality. In half-speed mastering, the master is transferred to the lacquer at half the normal speed, allowing the mastering engineer to work with far greater precision. The result: more detail, a wider stereo image, and a more natural, warmer sound, exactly the way De Groot's music was meant to be heard.

After the session, there will be an opportunity in the foyer to purchase the album.
