Bnnyhunna

Bnnyhunna is the musical project of Dutch-Ghanaian artist Benjamin Ankomah, raised in Amsterdam Zuidoost. Blending jazz, hip hop, R&B, gospel, funk and Afro rhythms, his sound is shaped by his West African roots and inspired by artists such as Fela Kuti, Yusef Dayes, Kendrick Lamar and Pharrell Williams.

As a songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Bnnyhunna has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting voices in the Dutch music scene. Since the release of his debut project SINTHA, he has performed at major festivals including North Sea Jazz, Montreux Jazz Festival, Down The Rabbit Hole, Lowlands, Dour and Super Sonic Jazz, while also collaborating with artists such as RIMON, José James, Asake, Blue Lab Beats and Akwasi.

His 2024 debut album ECHOES OF PRAYER explored music as a form of prayer and inner conversation, earning international support and winning Bnnyhunna the prestigious Edison Pop Award in the Soul/R&B/Funk category in 2025.

In 2026, he released his second full-length album PSALM FUNK, a meditative yet powerful journey through gospel, funk, jazz and African rhythms. With his work, Bnnyhunna creates music that is not only heard, but felt: a space for reflection, connection and shared energy.

Tickets (€23,50) are available via Patronaat, access is also included in the Weekend Pass. You can also access the listening session / Q&A at PHIL on Saturday October 3  with your concert ticket.
