Why a Label Market

Buying a record from a shop is one thing. Buying it directly from the label that released it is a little different.

The Haarlem Record Label Market is a chance to discover new releases, dig deeper into label catalogs and find limited editions that might not turn up during your usual weekly record hunt. It also means you can actually talk to the people behind the releases. Ask about the pressing, the artwork, an artist you've never heard of, or what they have coming up next.

The selection moves across experimental electronics, ambient, indie, punk and underground pop. You can come looking for something specific, or just start flipping through the crates and see where you end up.

The first ten labels who are joining this year's Haarlem Record Label Market:

Tiny Room Records, Wap Shoo Wap Records, Moving Furniture Records, Zesde Kolonne Records, Bottom Shelf Records, Geertruida Label, Presto Chango Records, Winter-Light, Paradiso Vinyl Club and Dead Mind Records .

Repair Café and Small Parts Dronten will also be on site, because keeping records playing is part of the culture too. The Repair Café offers free help with turntable repairs and maintenance, while Small Parts Dronten will have parts and products available for purchase.
