Teylers Museum – Extensive Instruments Collection
Teylers Museum on the Spaarne houses the world’s largest collection of 19th-century acoustic instruments, including one of the Helmholtz synthesizers—a key instrument at the foundation of modern electronic and pop music.
Chris Rijk’s ceramics at Frans Hals Museum
McDonald’s fries, electricity pylons in Dutch landscapes, and a middle finger in traditional Delft blue. Chris Rijk combines hand-painted ceramics with queer and pop culture, offering humorous – and at times provocative – critiques of commerce and capitalism.
