Dood Gaan We Allemaal presents: Soundtrack of my Funeral with Joost van Bellen.

03 July 2025

Sharing your music taste with the audience one last time, that one final record. What choices does a selector make for his own funeral? We’ll have that conversation with the Disco Dinosaur of the Netherlands: Joost van Bellen

On Saturday, September 27, Aldo van Dood Gaan We Allemaal will host an interactive listening session, in which Joost van Bellen brings his music and stories and engages the audience in conversation about them.

For those who need an introduction to Joost van Bellen: he has played at more festivals than you can name, in the 80s at RoXY he was a pioneer for today's nightlife, he reinvented himself and his parties multiple times, created music scores for many theater and fashion shows, and was part of Amsterdam's first night mayors. With all those experiences, he has plenty of stories to tell, which he has done as a writer in three books focusing on nightlife.

Playing at a funeral, and extravagant farewell ceremonies are not unfamiliar to him, curious about what we will listen to at his farewell.
