DJ, producer and singer Elias Mazian is a firm fixture of the club circuit in Amsterdam and beyond. His DJ sets are never predictable, with house music forming a base to deviate from into all manner of unexpected sounds, be it jungle, techno or a classic pop song. Mazian is host/curator of Private Hearts World and Round midnight on NPO Soul & Jazz and has just releaed his latest single Maskers.
For over two decades, Dust-to-Digital has been at the forefront of music preservation and storytelling. Founded in Atlanta in 1999 by Lance Ledbetter, and now co-directed with his wife April, the label has built an extraordinary reputation for curating, restoring, and presenting music that might otherwise have been lost to time.
This keynote and Q&A offer a rare opportunity to experience the work of Dust-to-Digital in person, and to discover why their mission of preserving the past is so crucial for the future of music.
Haarlem Vinyl Festival's Saturday program plays host to more special listening sessions, including Joost van Bellen's Tracklist of My Funeral, Diederik van Vleuten and Wouter van der Goes about Yacht Rock and Selwyn de Wind about Ranson's Curacao music archive.
