One LP is a unique and critically acclaimed portrait photography project that explores the inspirational qualities of recordings and the impact that they have on people's lives. Each portrait features the subject holding a recording that is of great personal significance.

Vinyl and NFTs are much more similar than you might think. Both are direct-to-fan tools allowing artists to express themselves to their fanbase. And interestingly, NFTs offer the same sort of opportunities for artistic expression that used to be what record sleeves were for.
On the Saturday morning of the Haarlem Vinyl Festival, host Melanie Lentz invites four lucky visitors to spend €100 on records at the outdoor Record Fair with the goal of finding those hidden gems that will complete their collection. The participants will receive an assignment to find three records, keeping the budget in mind as they scour the market. Afterward, they will showcase their new purchases in front of a live audience. Will they make a profit? Did they buy cheap and cheesy pressings that are nearly worthless? Did one of them find a gem worth 500 euros? And how did they select their records? Come down to the Crate Digger Challenge and find out.
What would a vinyl festival be without an actual record fair? For two days, we will join forces with Record Planet, Europe's leading organization for vinyl gatherings, to satisfy vinyl lovers and crate diggers with endless browsing opportunities.

During Haarlem Vinyl Festival, Robert Haagsma's 'Tales From the Groove' will be released. This book is the third book in a series called Passion For Vinyl, that tell the stories about the records that inspire people, the way they shaped their lives, how they sparked them to pick up an instrument, become a DJ, or start a label, pressing plant or YouTube channel. All together Robert Haagsma interviewed an impressive amount of 130 people for this series.

The panelists will focus on discussing innovative technologies and practices that can reduce energy consumption, carbon footprint, and waste associated with vinyl manufacturing. They will delve into the latest research advancements in developing new materials for vinyl production, with a specific emphasis on exploring options that are not derived from crude oil and can be biologically produced. They will also explore ways to avoid greenwashing within the vinyl industry and promote genuine sustainable solutions. By uniting ancient technology with environmental responsibility, the panel aims to foster a dialogue that drives the vinyl industry towards a more sustainable future.

During Haarlem Vinyl Festival, De Platenslager will host a retrospective exhibition of Andy Warhol's record sleeves. During his lifetime he was involved in about 60 covers, here you can see about 45 of them, including the Famous Banana, The Rolling Stones' Zipper and the covers he made with his mother.
You will also see Andy's inspirations, the many collaborations with other artists and the inspiration Warhol has on musicians to this day. Step inside The Platenslager, which has been transformed into the silver world of Warhol's Factory for the occasion.
